Best Way To Organise Your Spring CleanAfter winter is the perfect time to shake of the cold weather and have a good old fashioned spring clean. Once the sun starts shining again, it’s motivating to clean and revamp the house. Depending on how you feel about house cleaning, spring cleaning can either be exciting or a burdensome task. For those domestic cleaning enthusiasts, this list is to put an extra spring in your step while home cleaning. For those less inclined to enjoy the task, use this list as a guidance on getting starting with the best ways to organise your spring clean. Each room is going to need attending to during your one off cleaning. Generally speaking, you will need to do the following in each room:-    Dust ceiling corners-    Dust ceiling fans-    Wash doors and walls-    Vacuum window curtains, or wash them-    Clean window frames and sills-    Remove stains from upholstered furniture -    Vacuum, dust and shake off rugs-    Dust the air vents-    Condition any leather furniture-    Deep clean floor surfaces, such as hardwood, linoleum and carpets -    Replace batteries in smoke detectors, remote controls and other appliancesNext, consider the tasks at home working room by room. Some might include the following.Kitchen -    Dust the refrigerator-    Dust the coils behind the fridge -    Defrost the freezer-    Clean fridge and freezer interior using baking soda and hot water sprayLiving room-    Attend to stains on furniture-    Dust, vacuum or wash curtains, blankets and fabrics-    Replace blankets and throws with light weight onesBedroom-    Turn the mattress over-    Change bed sheets and replace with cooler weather ones-    Machine wash pillows to remove mould and bacteria Bathroom-    Check expiry dates on prescriptions and beauty products, discard ones that are out of date-    Check the first aid kit and update it-    Replace any old towels with new, fresh onesOffice or study-    ¬Go through and organise files -    Review insurance policies and any contracts you have-    Scrub the computer with a lint-free cloth-    Dust the crevices of the keyboard Closets-    Pack warm weather clothes away at the back-    Bring cooler weather clothes to the front-     Clear out the wardrobe and donate any clothes you don’t want anymoreOutside-    Clean the ceilings and walls on the porch -    Sweep away cobwebs and any other debris-    Scrub the patio or decking -    Wash driveway and walkways -    Wash outdoor furniture, both the frame and cushioning -    Check light fixtures and wash the covers, checking for any damaged wires and connectionsJust remember that spring cleaning doesn’t have to be a burden. To ensure that you have enough energy during your domestic blitz, have some high energy snacks such as fruit and nuts on hand. Also drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. If you are able to, dedicate a few days to one off cleaning. This way you work in smaller spaces and focus on one or two rooms per day. This will prevent you becoming burnt out too quickly. Spring cleaning is a refreshing process that makes you home feel rejuvenated and fresh after the winter and ready for the warmer summer weather. Take pride in deep cleaning and allow it to freshen up your mindset as well!
